Omaha Poker Step by Step:

1- The Start of the Game
One player is tagged with dealer button on table. The dealer button will rotate around after each round so each player eventually act as the big blind, small blind and dealer. The two players to the left of the dealer are known as the 'small blind' and 'big blind' The small blind must add into the pot approximately half the minimum bet. The big blind must add into the pot an amount equal to the minimum bet. The rest of the players do not put up any money to start the hand.

2- First two Cards
Each player is dealt two cards face down. These are the player's private cards. Each player looks at their cards and a round of betting proceeds. Play stars to the left of the dealer and each player can choose to either 'bet', 'raise', or 'fold' to his/her initial cards

3- The Flop
Once the first betting round is completed, three face-up cards are dealt to the middle of the table. These three cards are called 'The Flop' and represent community cards which shared by everyone at the table. At this point, each player has a five card hand which is composed from the two private cards and the three community cards.

4- The Turn
Once the betting round after the flop is completed, the dealer deals another face up card in the middle of the table. This is referred to as the 'Turn'.

5- The River
Once the betting round after the turn is completed, the dealer deals another face up card in the middle of the table. This is called the 'river'. There is usually a three or four raise maximum during all betting rounds except if the play becomes heads up with two players. Then the raises are unlimited.

6- The Showdown
Players must use two of his\her private cards (the initial hand) and three community cards from the table in order to form the highest five-card hand. In cases of a tie (two players with the same high combination), the pot will be split between them.
